What it is
The New York Bike Jumble is NYC's only bicycle flea market. Vendors set up tables and sell new and used bikes, parts, accessories, clothing, collectibles and anything else bike-related. If you need a replacement derailleur, a vintage frame, a set of wheels or just want to dig through bins of parts, this is the place. Think of it as a swap meet for cyclists.
When and where
The Bike Jumble happens twice a year in Park Slope, Brooklyn at the Old Stone House (Fifth Avenue and 4th Street). The spring event is typically in May and the fall event is later in the year. It runs 10am to 4pm, rain or shine. The event has been running for over fourteen years at the same location.
The next one is Saturday, May 16, 2026. Check nybikejumble.com for the latest dates.
What you will find
- Used bikes -- road bikes, mountain bikes, commuters, fixies, sometimes oddball stuff
- Parts -- derailleurs, brakes, wheels, handlebars, saddles, cranks, headsets
- Accessories -- lights, locks, bags, racks, fenders
- Clothing -- jerseys, caps, cycling shoes
- Collectibles -- vintage components, old catalogs, cycling art
- Overstock and deals -- shops clearing out inventory at steep discounts
Prices are negotiable. Cash is king. Get there early for the best selection -- the good stuff goes fast.
Tips for buying
- Know what you need before you go. It is easy to get distracted by bins of cheap parts. Make a list.
- Bring cash. Not every vendor takes cards.
- Inspect everything. Used parts are sold as-is. Spin the wheels, check for cracks, test the shifting if you can.
- Bring a bag or backpack. You will not want to carry loose parts around all day.
- Go early. The serious buyers show up at 10am. By 2pm the best deals are gone.
- Ask questions. Most vendors are cyclists themselves and happy to talk about what they are selling.
Find us there
Time's Up! has a booth at the Jumble. If you are feeling overwhelmed by the selection or not sure whether a part is compatible with your bike, come find us and ask. One of our volunteers will walk the Jumble with you, help you figure out what you need and check that it actually fits your setup before you buy it. Look for the Time's Up! table.
Why it matters
The Bike Jumble keeps parts and bikes in circulation instead of in landfills. It connects people who need affordable transportation with people who have spare bikes and parts. It is one of the few places in the city where the cycling community shows up in one place -- racers, commuters, messengers, co-op mechanics, collectors and people who just want a cheap bike to get around on.
If you pick up a project bike or parts you need help installing, bring them to the co-op. We are open Sundays and Wednesdays at 5pm.
